Delete your Budgeloom account

Budgeloom is published by McGhie Labs. This page explains how to permanently delete your Budgeloom account and what happens to your data. You can do it in the app, or here without installing or opening the app.

Subscriptions are separate

Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription bought through Google Play. Cancel it first in Google Play (Payments & subscriptions), otherwise it may continue to renew.

Delete without the app

  1. Enter the email address of your Budgeloom account.
  2. If an account uses that address, we email it a one-time sign-in link. Only someone with access to that inbox can use it.
  3. Open the link in this browser. If your account uses two-step verification, also enter a code from your authenticator app.
  4. Review what will be deleted and confirm by typing DELETE. Your account is deleted straight away.

We never ask for your password or any financial details.

Delete in the app

  1. Open Budgeloom and sign in.
  2. Go to Profile → Account.
  3. Choose Permanently delete account. You will be asked to sign in again if you signed in more than a few minutes ago, and to type DELETE.

Deleting is different from signing out.

What is deleted

  • Your account and sign-in details.
  • Your budgeting records: income, spending, bills, budgets, savings, forecasts and reports.
  • Your private receipt images and PDFs, and your Support and Feedback attachments.
  • Your registered devices and security history.

When you delete in the app, the copy on that device is cleared too. Deleting on the web cannot reach your phone: if Budgeloom is still installed, uninstall it (or clear its storage) to remove the copy kept on that device.

What can remain, and for how long

  • A minimal deletion record (account ID, deletion time, former username) is kept so a deleted account cannot be silently reactivated. Your username cannot be reused for 30 days.
  • Support records under a legal or security hold stay until the hold is released; other support and feedback records tied to your account are removed or minimised.
  • Our encrypted operational backups are rotated out after about three months; until then deleted data may remain in a backup.
  • Purchase records held by Google Play and RevenueCat follow those providers’ own policies.
